Khartoum State is considered one of the most attractive areas for Sudan people being the national capital of the country and the political center. Its inhabitants are considered the most active countrywide as around 80% of the population is actively participating in the various economical and services sectors. It is also noted for the extensive presence of government service buildings, sovereignty and federal institutions, parties’ places, diplomatic missions and industrial areas.
Population and their activities:
If we want to define the tribes living in Khartoum state in some details and specificity, we find that the peripheries of the cities and rural areas inhabited by distinguished: in the areas of Omdurman and the rural South, we find the tribe of Gamowia as we find the Kordofani tribes displaced to these areas as the drought and desertification that hit their areas in the past years (early and mid-eighties) where you will find in these areas tribes of Kababish and the Kawahla.
In the northern countryside of Karari province, we find the tribe of Shiheinat, in Khartoum North there are the tribes of Abdallab and Batahin. In the East Nile, there are the tribes of Abu Dileig, Batahin, and Kawahla with the tribe of Iseilat in Um-Dowan.
As to the activity of the population of Khartoum state, it can be said that most of the population are workers and personnel in the State chambers, the private sector and banks. Also, there is a large segment of capitalists dealing in trade and another segment represented by migrants and displaced people working in marginal activities. As to countrymen, they are engaged in agriculture, grazing and thus supply the capital, Khartoum, with vegetables, fruits, dairy. There are also some residents who live on the banks of the river engaged in the river-related works such as pottery, brick and fishing.
Khartoum divisions

It starts from the Mugran, i.e. the confluence of the two rivers (the blue and white Niles). Being confined between them, this block extends southwards to the boundaries of the Gezira state. The block is characterized by Sundus and Soba agricultural schemes in both Gabal Owlia and Khartoum localities respectively, along with a number of livestock, poultry, fishing projects, besides farms of vegetables and fruits and fodder production projects.
Second bloc
It is the Northern block, which is limited between the Blue Nile and the River Nile. In this block, there are many agricultural projects such as the Soba East and Seleit agricultural project. It also includes the largest dairy projects in the state, namely Kuku village project. alt Security is physical and psychological situation an individual could sense it in every aspect of his life, it should be touched, smelled and practiced on day-to-day bases. What a wonderful job whose people who protect us and safeguard the country are always shouldering   and painstaking. It is an honor and privilege to be your homeland savior, unless someone is truly gifted he or she could not be so. many  people had sacrificed  for their country, devoted every things they had for the benefits and welfare of their citizens , it is said to be blood possessing property  , it is human heritage to be sustained , well saved and respected .
Security is a backbone of the social life ,nothing could be moving in the absences of the security , feeling secured and well protected at home , outdoors on the road ,at schooling or at work is something really grateful , indispensable  and undeniable, the question here not on how   but on who are behind the curtains providing and creating the situations that citizens could sense physically and psychologically  secured .
Protecting the life, liberty and properties of citizens who live in this very vast city or area having encompassed seven huge localities, each of which with its own residential housing or area is an extraordinary work being commanded by Khartoum state police (KSP) including all its departments of which Lit Gen Dr.Mohammed Ahmed Ali is the (KSP) head, well knowledgeable commander
Functions and roles of police
The police are primarily responsible for the maintenance of public order, prevention and detection of crimes in the state. It also protects the life, liberty and property of the people. The crime is increasing day by day with the increase in the complexity of the civilization.
Hence, the role of the police has become more important than before. Without the police, there would be chaos in the society and the people would live in Hobbesian state of nature in which life would be "solitary, poor, nasty, brutish and short."
Thus, the police enforce criminal law maintaining law and order and investigating crime. It provides the necessary check against the ambivalence of the human nature. The police play an important role in the administration of justice. In theory, one's safety and liberty depend upon the law and constitution but in practice the laws and judicial decisions are enforced by the police. Thus, the police is the savior of modern civil society.
Objectives of State Police
The police force is one of the service organs of the country that the constitution has a general demarcation for its responsibilities, jurisdiction and job description. The general laws and professional ones were developed to provide details of its role, responsibilities and objectives that the police should strive to fulfill in its various areas. The States Police, including that of Khartoum State, are to achieve the following objectives:
1.    Develop, in state and propagate good values, preservation of community culture and manners, and protection of constitution and the high interests of the country.
2.    Ensure the security of the country and citizens, safeguarding properties and national economy, application of related laws and regulations, and combating crimes.
To attend to these objectives and responsibilities as required, it is necessary to develop organizational plans that put in place a comprehensive system for the police activities and the required support and supplies. The parts of this system should be correctly placed with well-defined roles within the general organizational structure of the police. For this, the ministry of interior put a high importance on the development of the organizational structures of the police forces. Seven ministerial decrees were issued during the past period all leading to amendments in the organizational structure. There are Ministerial Decrees No. 5 of 1992, No. 71 of 1993, No. 73 of 1995, No. 152 of 1997, No. 125 of 198, No. 128 of 2000 and  No. 225 of 2001. Based on the decree No. 225 which is on the organizational structure of the police force, a study and a review of the organizational structure of the Khartoum State Police was prepared.

Strategic goals of security end:
• realize security and peace and make them publicly sensed locally, regionally and internationally.
